  • Return to School - September 2020

    Wed 26 Aug 2020

    Dear Parents

I hope you have had a lovely summer break and have been able to make the most of the fantastic weather we have seen - well up until this week anyway!

As the return to school is now fast approaching, I know that you may be be feeling anxious as to what this will look like for your child. We have been working during the holidays to arrange classrooms and put in place additional measures in line with a full risk assessment.  I am confident that we have made the return to school as safe as we can in the circumstances. The rate of infection is still very low in North Norfolk and therefore we believe that a successful and a safe return to school can be achieved.

In the run-up to the last few days of the holiday, I will be sending you detailed information of the measures we have put in place and our expectations for pupils and parents to ensure we are all working together in everyone's best interests. I will also enclose a few photographs of areas of the school so you can show and discuss them with your child.

I haven't sent this information before now, as I wanted to ensure I was giving you the most up to date information (we have seen a number of very sudden changes to government guidance!)

We are fully committed to re-starting our Breakfast (7.45-8.45a.m.) and After School (3.00 - 5.00p.m.) Care to support working parents from Monday 14th September. A booking form and further information as to how this has been arranged in line with Covid-19 measures will be sent out out by the start of term.

Every member of staff is looking forward to welcoming all our children back to school on Monday 7th September, for what we are sure will continue to be a rich and enjoyable learning experience.

    Yours sincerely

    Jan Harazdiuk

  • Happy smiling faces as children return to school

    Mon 08 Jun 2020
Since the lockdown on March 20th schools have been very quiet and strange places without the sounds of many pupils working and playing. We have been open to vulnerable children and children of key workers every day since then but Tuesday 2nd June saw the return of some Reception pupils to full-time schooling. We would like to share with you some of the activities and the fun that children have been taking part in during these early few days. We are planning to widen the number of pupils on 15th June to more Reception and Year 6 pupils, with other year groups as the term progresses. It will be a gradual process ensuring  safety at all times. It does look different but what is the same is the enjoyment shown by our children working, playing and laughing with their classmates and teachers.
