How long can I expect work set by the school to take my child each day?

We expect that remote education (including remote teaching and independent work) will take pupils broadly the following number of hours each day:

 

Reception 3 hours
Year 1 and 2 3 hours
Year 3 and 4 3 -4 hours
Year 5 and 6 4 hours

 

In addition to the curriculum assignments set, children are allocated reading books, activities and games on Active Learn. They are also encouraged to read, or be read to, for 20 minutes a day, practise spellings and times tables, as well as have time to be active each day and  for reflection and relaxation.
