GIVING EVERY CHILD THE CHANCE TO SUCCEED
'This School continues to be Good' -Ofsted November 2017

Awards

Following the first few days of remote education, will my child be taught broadly the same curriculum as they would if they were in school?

  • We teach a broad and balanced curriculum remotely as we would do in school which covers all subject areas.
  • In most areas we teach the same content both in school and remotely to ensure continuity of educational provision and to help the transition back into full time school.
  • In some practical subjects such as ART, DT, Music and PE we may need to plan different activities remotely due to the limitations of resources for these activities at home. However, we will endeavour to aim for similar learning outcomes.
  • We endeavour to provide children learning at home with additional curriculum activities such as Outdoor Learning, ideas on how to stay active, mindfulness and relaxation.
  • Children who are able to attend school, there will be additional learning activities for the children to participate in when they are in school such as Sports Coaching, Forest Schools and positive social play during breaks and lunchtime.
