Special Educational Needs and Disability

Hello, I'm Maria Hodge and I am the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) at Millfield Primary School.

 

For the first 8 years of my career I was a teacher in a special educational needs school. For the past 9 years, I have been working in a mainstream school as a teacher and SENCo. I have taught in early years, KS1, KS2 and have trained, coordinated and taught in nurture provision. 

 

I have a BA Hons degree in Inclusive Practice in Education, a Master Degree in Education and have completed the SENCo National Award. 

 

My passion is around supporting children who are in need of additional support and enabling them to overcome or remove their barriers to learning.
