Summer Term in Apple Tree Class
Welcome back to Apple Tree Class!
We hope you have been enjoying the lovely weather and time well spent with your family.
On Wednesday the 23rd of April, the first day of the new term, it will be a very special day: St George's Day! We have lots of exciting things to learn, experiences to try and things to make and take home on Friday. We can't wait to share them with you!
In the next few weeks we will be exploring our new learning theme 'Traditional Tales', which will be full of courage, ingenuity, adventure, porridge and some 'just desserts'. For English we will be choosing our favourite stories before really getting to know and understand them through drama and independent writing. We will also continue with our phonics, reading and mathematics, learning even more tricky things.
Our continuous indoor and outdoor provision is ready and waiting for the children to investigate, so please could your child bring a sun hat as our garden is a sunny place. For PE, still on Tuesday, we will be continue to join our coaches, Pav, Scott and Mike, but this term we will be getting ready for Sports Day. .
We will also be inviting your grown-ups to come and join us for a 'Reading afternoon'. We will let you know dates closer to the event.
Grown-ups, don't forget, we have this year's full curriculum available on the 'Curriculum by year group' pages if you would like to explore it with your little ones.
